Hectare delivers fencing, water tanks, solar and backup power, animal feed, livestock equipment and building supplies from Durban to Maseru, Teyateyaneng, Leribe, Mafeteng, Mohale's Hoek and addresses across Lesotho that are reachable by road. Prices exclude South African VAT because the goods are exported, and delivery is one flat rate per order.
Delivery rates to Lesotho
| Parcels by courier (up to 30 kg) | R450 per order |
|---|---|
| Heavy or long items by road freight | R2 500 per order |
| Trailers | Quoted to your address before you pay |
Road freight applies to items over 30 kg, longer than 1.5 m, or classed as hazardous; each product page tells you which applies. Import duty, import VAT and clearing fees in Lesotho are not included.
Customs and duty
Lesotho is a member of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) with South Africa, so there is no customs duty on these goods. Import VAT is paid to the Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) when the goods are cleared. We supply the tax invoice and export documents.
Border crossings
Road freight enters Lesotho at Maseru Bridge, Ficksburg Bridge, Van Rooyen's Gate near Wepener or Caledonspoort near Butha-Buthe.
Paying from Lesotho
Prices are in South African rand. The loti is pegged 1:1 to the rand and the rand is accepted in Lesotho, so the price you see is what you pay. Payment is by EFT, with your order number as the reference.
