Without panels, the battery charges from the grid when power is on and takes over automatically during load-shedding. Panels can be added later on most hybrid inverters. At 30 kW it suits small commercial sites, farms and large homes on a three-phase supply. With about 80% of 23.2 kWh usable, a 1 kW evening load runs for roughly 18.6 hours before the battery needs a recharge (an estimate; real runtime depends on the load).

• Tell us what has to stay on during an outage so we can confirm the inverter and battery size.
• Match the inverter to your supply: single phase for most homes, three phase for larger homes and businesses.
• Installation must be done by a registered electrician, who issues a Certificate of Compliance. Grid-connected systems also need municipal registration.
