How many do you need?
A 220 W panel produces its rated output in full sun at standard test conditions. As a guide, a 5 kW array needs about 23 of these panels and a 10 kW array about 46. In most of South Africa a well-placed, north-facing, unshaded array averages very roughly 4.5 to 5 kWh per installed kW per day over a year, less in winter and more in summer (an estimate, not a guarantee).
Before you order
- Check the string voltage and current against your inverter’s MPPT range. Send us the inverter model and we work out the panels per string.
- Match mounting to your roof: IBR, Klip-Lok, tile or a ground frame.
- Avoid mixing panel models on one string; mismatched panels drag the whole string down.
- Panels are large and fragile: we pack and deliver them flat.
We deliver to your address by courier or road freight, and the delivery cost for your order is shown at checkout before you pay. Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, on top of your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Prices include 15% VAT.
